Here are some books that helped to inspire me to write Puma Diaries:
The Wayfinders. Wade Davis
Blessed Unrest. Paul Harkin
The Art of Pilgrimmage – A Seekers Guide to Making Travel Sacred. Phil Cousineau
The Shock Doctrine – The Rise of Disaster Capitalism. Naomi Klein
Fierce Invalids Home From Hot Climates. Tom Robbins. There are alot of great TR books (Jitterbug Perfume, Skinny Legs and All), but this one is the one that got me hooked on him, and its a great travel read.
Travels with Charlie. John Steinbeck
Highly recommend Farley Mowat’s books. Also Geo. James Grinnell’s A Death on the Barrens which includes a comprehensive bibliography of northern Canada titles.
Thank you June! These are welcome suggestions!
